Distillation Column Design Program
Written by Administrator
Sunday, 14 October 2007
Sulzer Chemtech Ltd. has unified their two distillation column design programs (SULTRAY and SULPAK)
into one single package named SULCOL (now in version 2.0).
SULCOL 2.0 is able to design and rate random and structured packing columns, as well as tray columns,
and can import results directly from commercial process simulators such as PRO/II (Simulation Science, Ltd.) and ASPENPLUS (Aspen Technology Ltd.).
You can apply online for a free one-time download of this program by filling out an application on Sulzer's official website.

ImageYou may not realize, but the PD Network has members in all continents (except Antarctica). Unfortunately, our registration form doesn't ask for the registrant's country, but, by looking at names and mail server addresses we are able to identify members from Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Norway, Qatar, Romania, Russia, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Thailand, UK, USA, and Venezuela. Process design is indeed an international discipline. Licensors, engineering companies, and clients are located worldwide. Engineering centers like those in Houston (USA), London (UK), Aberdeen (Scotland), Singapore, India, and others are actively designing plants to be built in China, India, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Thailand, Malaysia, as well as offshore installations for deployment around the globe. There is much going on in all these places and PD Network would like to hear directly from our members who work, teach, or study in those parts of the world.

If you just came across our site, let us welcome you and invite you to participate. If you are in any way involved, or plan to be involved, in Plant Design as it relates to oil, gas, chemical, and petrochemical plants, you certainly will find here interesting material that has been contributed by people from different parts of the world with direct experience in this area. You will also be welcome to contribute with your own articles, opinions, and impressions gathered from your own experience. That is what a "network" is all about.

To join the network, all you have to do is register by using the convenient Registration Form. Registration will give you access to all the published material in the site. If you later decide to contribute your own writings , you can become an Author, in which case you will be able to directly upload your material for publication, after our review.

So, feel free to browse and hope you will decide to join us.
